Lyssa GrahamHi,

My name is Lyssa Graham. It’s pronounced Lisa, which, appropriately enough, is how it used to be spelled. I did that to me. I thought I’d be a supermodel after high school. Unfortunately I wasn’t terribly exotic so I changed the spelling of my name as a step towards exoticism. And to piss of my parents. Turns out, changing the spelling of your name has very little effect on height, looks and overall supermodelness. But I’m stuck with it so there you are.

I’m a comic, voice actress and all around funny-type person. You know the kind of person who will attempt to entertain you if you just stand still long enough? That’s me. I’m that kind of a person. It’s something of a character flaw, really.

I’ve been writing humor since 1995 when a friend told me that there was a local paper willing to pay $50 for funny articles. Since my life is governed by the principle of “How Hard Can It Be,” I immediately knocked out two funny articles, collected $100 and a new gig was born. Plus it was fun and totally beat working for a living.

I’ll be posting a lot of those articles here as lovely pdf’s in the near future for your reading pleasure. I hope you enjoy them. I’ll also be posting lots of new stuff as well. I hope you enjoy those too.

Fair warning. I swear a lot, say wildly inappropriate things and have a very weak filter between my brain and my mouth/fingertips. Some would say no filter at all. I’m also one of those liberal-progessive-tree-hugger types. I guess what I’m getting at is that I’ll likely piss you off sooner or later. You have been warned.

Feel free to comment. I’ll do my best to answer as many as I can, as soon as I can. If you just want to be hateful, go to some other site.

So welcome to my world – Lyssa Land – where it’s a whole lot weirder than you think. Nice to meet you!

First of all, congrats on the new web site. How you got that picture of my wife on the front page of your site certainly surprised me but then again, I don’t get out much.

So with all the goodness on the site, I thought I would offer what I hope is a helpful suggestion, especially as this blog takes off. Create and use the “Categories” on your blog for this site. It will help keep your stuff organized and may help with your SEO.

    I hope this helps.

    Best always,

Peter, your wife was fabulous. But(t) you know that. Thanks for the helpful advice. The moment I figure out categories, I will create some and use them. Thank you! Fo’ reals. And love to your wife.
