LYSSA GRAHAM VOICEOVER

Pants on Fire VO

A Fulfilling Life

August 12, 2015 By LyssaGraham Leave a Comment

A couple of months ago, I received an e-mail from a colleague saying, “I think it’s great how you’ve managed to incorporate your professional life with your home life. It must be so fulfilling.”

Why yes, I thought smugly, I do have an awesome life. My life, in actual fact, rocks. I was smug. Smug, smug, smuggity, smug.

For about 20 seconds. And then I followed the sounds of retching down the stairs to see my sofa covered in dog barf, my assistant gagging at the dog barf and my toddler racing toward the dog barf at top speed.

I may have misunderstood the meaning of the word “fulfilling.”

But it’s good. Or at the very least it’s entertaining and entertaining works for me.  I’m a voice actor and comic. My job is to talk to people – in person, on the radio, over your computer speakers, on television, over the phone, in an elevator, on a PA system – pretty much anywhere. On the very best days I get to talk to people and make them laugh at the same time.

It’s a good job if you can get it.

And yeah, it’s fulfilling. So fulfilling that it’s time to kick it up another notch or six. Which is why you’re here.

Meet the new brand, the new site and the new demos. Major shout-outs to Celia Siegal Management, Biondo Studios, Cliff Zellman and so many more. Ya’ll make me look, sound and feel like a badass.

Let me know what you think of the brand. I think it suits me. I’m cheeky. Pun intended. Best of all, this new brand gives me an excuse to mass order thong panties with my name on them. And hula hoops! And things that make fire! I can’t wait to give those receipts to my accountant.

Best. Day. Ever.
